MY SLEEP ESSENTIALS

Sleep is crucial for our health and the older I get, I feel like it is harder to fall asleep. (I always have a million things running through my head!) Below are some of my favorite sleep essentials that I highly recommend. I have been using all of these for a few years and now I can’t live without them!

My Sleep Essentials For Bedtime

Sleep Machine: This genius sleep machine is not like the ocean sound machine (I have that feature in the oil diffuser). This one projects a soft blue light on your ceiling and invites you to breathe along as the light expands and retracts. Trust me…you'll be asleep within seconds!

Oil Diffuser: A lot of studies (and my own personal experience) show that aromatherapy can help the body relax. I recommend trying a diffuser that doesn’t look cluttered on your bedside table, like this one from Target. It has a noise & oil diffuser combined,which I love! It also has nine light settings. Select between cool, neutral or warm white tones with dim, medium and bright settings for each. It also has five sounds featuring meditation, ocean, rain, white noise and sleep sounds. There is eight hours of continuous mist as well. 

Organic Sleep Blend Essential Oil: A restful blend of soothing essential oils to help promote sleep, relaxation and calmness.

LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask: My skin is very sensitive since I have rosacea and this mask is great for my face! It is an ultra-hydrating overnight mask that is formulated with Hydro Ionized Mineral Water to deliver high doses of moisture to stressed, dry skin. Plus, it has a lavender scent that will help you relax and recharge while you sleep.

LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask: This lip mask smells good and is not sticky whatsoever. It gives you a little boost of hydration for your lips, that is formulated with vitamin C and antioxidants. 

Sleepy Tea: I LOVE my sleepy tea at night. About two hours before I go to bed, I start drinking a glass of sleepy tea and it helps me calm down for the night. 

 

Eye Mask: I have a hard time falling asleep, even with the slightest light coming into our room. The silk eye masks offer benefits to help you sleep soundly and wake refreshed and rejuvenated. I even got Patrick hooked on wearing one at night!

 

Amber Book Light: Amber light emits a warm, gentle light similar to a fire or a candle that is 99.94% free of blue spectrum light. In the evening, it is important to limit your exposure to bright white light, to allow for the production of melatonin. This allows you to fall asleep faster and get a more restful night of sleep. This light won’t affect your circadian rhythm or hormone balance.
